Hi! my name is Ryan Smith (he/him). I am an incredibly ambitious First Class Honours graduate in Game Design and Production that is passionate about continuous self-improvement, learning and iteration with the focus on contributing to game development via clean, efficient code.
I excel in collaborating within cross-disciplinary teams which can be attributed to my more than five years academic experience practicing Scrum, utilising Kanban tools as well as structured Sprints whilst programming for predominately Unity-based games.
Furthermore I’m resilient, adaptable, actively pursuing an onsite or remote gameplay programmer role, while always available for collaboration.
Send me a message on LinkedIn. References are also readily available.
To unwind, I love to listen to indie pop, read fiction, mindlessly play 3D action-platformers or board games with an iced vanilla latte.
Each of my projects includes a dedicated GitHub repository with a detailed description, relevant scripts, and a link to its Google Play, Steam or itch.io store page.
ZX Tetrad is an old-school compilation of four original, ZX Spectrum inspired micro-games.

Gonk is an original local four player party game, where you can battle up to three friends dressed in a variety of ten costumes within two uniquely themed levels.

Parking Pots is a casual single player mobile game, reliant on motion controls. There are three stages that vary in difficulty and three unlockable costumes.

INFINITY27 (2026)
Prototyped player-item interactions, a foundational inventory system, and item behaviour using Unreal Engine, and Blueprints, supported by documentation with UML. I was given the exclusive opportunity to gain hands-on industry work experience on an unannounced project over a short period of nearly two weeks, working as a part of a cross-disciplinary team.
